Information Collection and Use
Registration
To use the LocationNation site you must first register and create an account. To complete your registration you will be required to provide information such as your name and email address as well as your age group. This information will be used for communication between LocationNation and you, so that we can provide you with information related to the services on our site in which you have expressed an interest.
LocationNation, Inc. is the sole owner of the information collected on LocationNation.com. LocationNation, Inc. collects personally identifiable information from our users at several different points on our web site. LocationNation will not share your personally identifiable information with a third party unless otherwise stated or unless we give you prior written notice.
Orders
If you purchase a product or service from us, we will request personally identifiable information from you, such as your name, billing address, shipping address, phone number, and email address. In addition to this we will also collect financial information such as your credit card number, expiration date, and 3 digit security code.
This information is used for billing purposes and to contact you in the event there is a problem with your order.
Social Security Numbers
At NO time will LocationNation ever request your Social Security Number. If you are contacted by someone who claims to represent LocationNation and they request this information, please do not respond and contact us immediately via email at privacy@locationnation.com.
Surveys or Contests
LocationNation will, on occasion, provide you with the opportunity to take part in surveys or contests. If you choose to participate we will request that you provide certain personally identifiable information. Because participation is voluntary you will have a choice as to whether or not you wish to disclose this information. Generally, the information requested will be contact information (so we can let you know if you win!) and demographic information such as your zip code.
Information collected from surveys or contests will be used to communicate with contest winners, possibly send confirmation email upon contest entry and monitor site traffic. LocationNation will also use this information to further our efforts in providing the best website to our users. Unless otherwise stated, LocationNation will not share the personally identifiable information you provide through a contest or survey with a third party unless we give you prior notice and choice.
Referral Service
We hope that you will be so pleased with our site that you will want to share it with others. By providing your friend’s name and email address LocationNation will send them a one-time email inviting them to visit the site. LocationNation stores this information for the sole purpose of sending this one time email and tracking the success of our referral program.
Use of Information
LocationNation will use the information you provide to set up an account for you. You may use that account to utilize LocationNation’s Real Time Locating (RTL) service and/or LocationNation’s GSMO service. Your general account information; name, username and password, will be kept in confidence. When you form or join a community you will be asked to share other non-identifying information about yourself that will be made public to the community. The community may be private, or public and we urge you to use caution when sharing information in a public community. Be sure to read and utilize the guidelines that we have outlined in Usage Guidelines in our Terms of Use.
LocationNation will also use the information you provide to make adjustments to the site to better serve our customer base. Demographic information as well as areas of interest will be studied so we can provide you with the most up to date and relevant site possible.
LocationNation will not ask you to verify personal information or your password via email. If you receive an email from someone claiming to be us, be sure not to respond and to contact us right away at privacy@locationnation.com.
Special Offers and Updates
On occasion, LocationNation will send you information related to products, services, specials, or promotions. When registering, you can elect not to receive these notices. If you elect to receive them and at some point change your mind, please see "unsubscribe" directions at the bottom of the email.
Newsletters
If you wish to subscribe to our newsletter(s) we will use your name and email address to send the newsletter to you. Out of respect for your privacy, you have the option to unsubscribe at any time.
Service-related Announcements
LocationNation will send you service related announcements on rare occasions when it is necessary to do so. For instance, if LocationNation’s website is temporarily unavailable or suspended for maintenance, we might send you a service announcement email.
Service related messages are essential to your satisfaction with the LocationNation Website. Service related messages are not promotional in anyway and therefore LocationNation will not provide the option to opt out of these communications. If you do not wish to receive them, you have the option to deactivate your account.
Customer Service
Once your account is created, we will send you a welcoming email. We will also communicate with you in response to your inquiries, to provide the services you request, and to manage your account. We will contact you by email or telephone in accordance with your wishes.
Profile
LocationNation stores profile information only for the purposes of managing your account. We do not tie your personally identifiable information or your purchasing history to information in your profile. Profile information is only used in aggregate.
We do not share your individual profile with third parties unless otherwise stated. Profile information is shared in aggregate form only.
Supplementation of Information
In order to provide online credit card processing, we may supplement the personal information you submitted to us with information from third parties. We use authorize.netTM to verify your address in order to process your credit card payment. This is done for your security as well as ours.

Information Sharing and Disclosure
Aggregate Information (Non-personally identifiable)
LocationNation will share aggregate demographic information about our user base with our partners and advertisers. This information does not identify individual users. Our business partners (those we have contracts to do business with, or provide services through our site) will gather aggregate information for the purposes of billing us for their services. We may also share this information with prospective advertisers to demonstrate the audience available on our site.
Again, LocationNation will not link aggregate user date with personally identifiable information.
Personally Identifiable Information
We do share personally identifiable information with third parties strictly for the purpose of providing credit card processing services.
Agents
LocationNation uses a credit card processing company to bill you for goods and services and may utilize an outside shipping company to fulfill orders. These companies have told us they do not retain, share, store or use personally identifiable information for any other purposes.
Service Providers
LocationNation does use other third party companies to help us deliver the locating services on our site. When you sign up for Real Time Locating, LocationNation will only share the fact that you have an account along with the type of device that you will be using with this party as necessary for the third party to provide that service.
These third parties do not have access to your personally identifiable information.
Legal Disclaimer
LocationNation reserves the right to disclose your personally identifiable information as required by law and when we believe that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights and/or to comply with a judicial proceeding, court order, or legal process served on our site.

Choice/Opt-out
LocationNation often provides you with the choice to ‘opt-out’ of having your personally identifiable information used for certain purposes, when we ask for this information. For example, if you purchase a product/service but do not wish to receive any additional marketing material from us, you can indicate your preference on our registration form.
