Public Communities
Public Communities are groups of individuals who are united by a common interest, trait or characteristic. These groups are listed for anyone visiting the site to see and can be searched by a variety of different identifiers all of which are included in the community profile. These items include the following member traits: age range, gender, marital status, and community topic. Visitors will see a community profile and can decide whether or not to join. If you choose to join, your username along with a link to your profile information will be listed in the community profile.
The individual who starts the public community, known as the Community Leader, moderates the activity of the community including forums. While all members are responsible for the content in their personal profiles the community leader has to approve all postings to a public community forum.
Private Communities
Private Communities are much like public communities in the information that they include. However, to become a member of a private community you must be invited by the community leader and have the community password. This is an excellent option for information that you want kept secure. This way only those granted access can see where someone or something is at any given time. If you choose to utilize this service to locate children we strongly recommend that you do so only in a private community.
Much like the public community, the individual who starts the private community is the Community Leader and is responsible for moderating the information within the community.
