Welcome to the best part of LocationNation: Communities! Public or private, communities are great tools for uniting people with similar interests. Join a community that already exists, or better yet, start one yourself – take the opportunity to be the person in charge!
A community is a group of like minded people. The community that you design, or any that you choose to join, is a group of people, or in a Real Time Locating (RTL) community, people, pets, and "assets" and practically anything else that are all somehow related. They can be related by hobbies or interests, family, ownership, affiliations, schools, social groups and so on.
When entering an RTL public community, or private community that you have secure access to, community members will be able to view the location of all members of the community together, as well as the statistics of the community, e.g., the number of members, creation date, gender, and age ranges of community members.
In a GeoSpatial Media Organizer (GSMO) public community, or private community that you have secure access to, community members will be able to see the statistics of the community and then access any public postings of the individual members through their screen name. Members will also have the opportunity to communicate with one another via forums or email using screen names.
To browse or create communities, first you need to join LocationNation. |
